Treating Infertility by Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an extremely effective infertility treatment in three main ways: by mediating the release of neurotransmitters in the brain to affect reproductive hormones and organs; by stimulating blood flow to the uterus, thereby making embryo implantation more likely; and by boosting production of chemicals that inhibit stress hormone levels.
Besides treating you directly to become pregnant, we are also able to help with any Assisted Reproductive Technique (ART) if you choose to. Many researches have shown that acupuncture is an effective tool to help increase the ART success rate.

Acupuncture & Labor Induction
Using acupuncture to help with the labor process has a long history in China. We can trace it back to thousands of years ago.
In modern society, using acupuncture to induce labor is an alternative way to help the mother to prepare the body and deliver the baby in a more natural and healthy way. The acupuncture treatment can start as early as 36 weeks and up to 42 weeks.
As early as 36 weeks, the acupuncture treatment can help to prepare the mother’s body to get ready for the delivery by regulating Qi, Blood, Yin and Yang. When it is getting closer to the due date, specific points will be needled to promote the release of all the hormones need for the delivery (i.e. Oxytocin, Prolactin, Adrenaline and Endorphin).
By stimulating your body to secrete its own hormones for labor, you can avoid taking the Pitocin medication, which is a synthetic version of the Oxytocin hormone produced naturally by the body. Pitocin will bring the mother’s uterus to hard contractions in such a short time that a lot of pregnant women find it unbearable. Stimulating the Oxytocin hormone will allow the uterus to gradually progress to its contractions in a more natural way. Many women find Oxytocin much easier for them to handle and less painful than Pitocin.
Endorphin is the body’s natural pain-killer. Certain acupuncture points will be needled to stimulate the body’s release of its own Endorphins to help the labor process.
